Creative Director


Hometalk is looking for a Creative Director to lead and direct all design/UX/UI at Hometalk. As Creative Director you’ll oversee our entire design/UX/UI initiatives. You will bring your design expertise to ensure brand vision and cohesiveness of experience to five areas of company output: Product, content, service, marketing, and social. You will also oversee the design/UX/UI/creative execution in those departments, including brand campaigns, entire website, product launches, ads, marketplace campaigns, and more.


  • Initiate product development and UI projects toward company KPI’s.

  • Ensure that all UX/UI has consistency, is top quality, and dedicated to the goals. 

  • Ensure that adherence to the company mission is always expressed in all design/UX/UI work.

  • Define qualities, values, personas of the brand, based on research and data.

  • Define and refine how we can better appeal to current and new users, with an impactful, seamless experience both online and offline.

  • Work to integrate all service offerings and product offerings toward one impactful brand vision which is felt by the user at every touchpoint.

  • Lead initiatives to build relevant content offerings that appeal to our customer base, as well as draw new audiences.

  • Work with content acquisition and community teams to get and curate a varied content mix for our audience.

  • Collaborate with hiring, training, culture, professional reviews, workflow, job quality, and adherence to deadlines.

  • Invest in the improvement of the team’s skills, via workshops, webinars, courses, meetups etc.


  • English at a native level

  • 5+ years of experience as a user experience designer, interaction designer, or similar role.

  • 3+ years of experience leading creative teams.

  • Proven leadership skills with strong people management and coaching abilities.

  • B2C experience and a demonstrated ability to develop inspiring creative that exceeds performance targets.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.

  • Ability to work gracefully within a sometimes-ambiguous environment.

  • Experience developing and evolving brand systems

  • Highly organized, strong attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
